Absolutely! As every Tortuga journey is completely private, we can adapt the pace, route and activities to the age, swimming ability and confidence of our guests. There is no pressure to enter the water, and everyone can decide whether they would like to snorkel, swim or simply relax on board.Life jackets and high-quality snorkeling equipment are available, and our crew is always there to assist you. Please let us know the children’s ages and everyone’s swimming experience before the trip so we can prepare accordingly.

Can children and beginners join the Dolphin journey?

Absolutely! Children and beginners are welcome to join the trip and enjoy watching the dolphins from the safety and comfort of the boat.However, only confident swimmers are allowed to enter the open water during a dolphin encounter. Swimming with dolphins can involve waves, currents and deeper water, so being able to swim safely and independently is essential. Life jackets are available, but they do not replace good swimming ability.Entering the water is always optional and only possible when our captain considers the sea conditions and situation safe. As every Tortuga journey is private, we can adapt the pace and experience to the needs of your group.Please let us know the children’s ages and everyone’s swimming ability in advance. As dolphins are wild animals, sightings and swimming encounters can never be guaranteed. We always approach them calmly and respectfully.

How do booking, weather and cancellations work?BookingYour private journey is confirmed once you have received our booking confirmation (depending on the individual booking, a deposit may be required). If a deposit has been paid, the remaining balance is due on the day of your trip. Otherwise, the full amount is paid on the day. Please check all details before confirming your booking.WeatherYour safety always comes first. Our captain checks the sea and weather conditions before every departure. Depending on the conditions, we may adjust the departure time, route, snorkeling location or island stop.If the conditions are not safe, we will offer you an alternative date whenever possible. If we have to cancel the trip and rescheduling is not possible, any deposit paid will be fully refunded.CancellationYou can cancel or reschedule your trip free of charge up to 24 hours before departure. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure or in case of a no-show, any deposit already paid is non-refundable.Changes to the date or departure time are subject to availability. Please contact us as early as possible - we will always try to find the best solution for you!
