Captain Karam "KARIM"
Captain & owner of TORTUGA SPEEDBOAT
Meet Captain Karam Reda – the heart and soul behind Tortuga Speedboat.

Karam's journey in the Red Sea began when he was just 17. Starting out in Sharm El Sheikh on a daily kite surf boat, he quickly found his way to the world of dive safaris in Hurghada. What began as a seaman’s job soon turned into a true calling.
Through dedication, skill, and a deep respect for the ocean, Karam rose through the ranks to become captain of a large safari boat – a position he held for two years - until he became the Captain of his own boat, the Tortuga!
With years of experience navigating the Red Sea, Karam knows the waters like the back of his hand – from shifting currents to weather patterns. With him at the helm, you’re in the best possible hands.
Giulia List
German Guide & Media Designer of TORTUGA SPEEDBOAT
Giulia List was born in Munich, Germany and studied Media and Communication, earning her bachelor’s degree before working in the field for a year.
But life had other plans – she decided to follow her heart and move to Egypt to join her husband Karam and bring their dream of owning a boat to life.

Giulia takes care of all things creative behind Tortuga – from the online presence and marketing to design and visuals. And when needed, she’s also on board as a translator and German-speaking guide, making sure everyone feels at home.

Ahmed Reda
Seaman & Photographer of TORTUGA SPEEDBOAT
Ahmed Reda is Karam’s younger brother and well on his way to following in his footsteps.
As a seaman, he supports Karam both on and off the boat – always ready to help where needed. He’s also the guy behind the lens! With his Nikon DSLR and GoPro, Ahmed captures the best moments of your trip – above and below the surface. As a snorkel guide, he’ll join you in the water and show you the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea.
Friendly, helpful, and full of energy – Ahmed’s always around to make your time on Tortuga even more special.
We want to PROTECT
the OCEAN
At Tortuga Speedboat, we love the Red Sea – and we’re committed to protecting it.

We believe every trip should respect the ocean and the life within it. That’s why we never leave trash behind. Everything we bring out to sea comes back with us – no exceptions. We keep our boat clean, and more importantly, we keep the sea clean.

While snorkeling or swimming, we make sure not to touch marine animals or coral reefs. And when we visit the islands, we leave nothing but footprints in the sand.

Respecting nature is part of who we are – and we invite you to be part of that too. Together, we can enjoy this beautiful place while helping to keep it that way.
